This is one of Learning Tree Farm's most popular programs.

  • It explores the life of Ohio settlers in the 1800's.
  • Students experience how Ohio settlers met their basic needs by participating at several work stations.
  • Students will use antique tools and equipment: corn sheller, scales, washboards, flour grinders, shoe lasts, wool carders, drop spindles.

Students also learn pioneer games from the 1800's play area including: hoops and sticks, corn cob toss, quoits (ring toss) and log walking.

This program is for Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Graders only. Offered Thursdays in September, October and November.
